Apple’s new iPhones are here, and alongside all the camera, performance, and software upgrades, there’s another change that’s much harder to get excited about: they’re more expensive. The iPhone 18 Pro now starts at $1,199 for 256GB of storage, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1,299. That’s a $100 increase over last year’s Pro models. An extra $100 on an already expensive phone might not seem enormous, but the bigger concern is what happens to the rest of the smartphone market now.
