The biggest upgrades are inside, with larger sensors, faster 8K recording, improved low-light performance, and a new AI system designed to take much of the editing work off your hands. The X6 uses dual Sony 1/1.1-inch square sensors, giving it 33% more sensor area than the X5 and around four times the light intake per frame, according to Insta360. A triple-chip system handles image processing, while a new low-light mode and AdaptiveTone 2.0 aim to improve detail and dynamic range in difficult lighting.
