TL;DR

• Gboard could soon get a handy new button to dismiss clipboard suggestions.
• The button could also let users dismiss other suggestions that show up in the top bar.
• Currently, these suggestions can only be dismissed by typing something else.

Gboard has a ton of handy features, and one of my favorites is the suggestions it offers in the top bar. However, sometimes I don’t need those suggestions to show up, and so far the only way to dismiss them has been to type something — it works, but it can be quite annoying. Fortunately, Google may soon let you easily dismiss those suggestions.
