It’s usually difficult to get excited about a new Android browser. Unlike the launcher space, which includes a puzzle piece for almost every conceivable niche, browsers are mostly limited to two major schools of thought: you can go with a browser based on Firefox’s underpinnings, or one based on Chromium, the underlying technology that powers Google Chrome.

Since these platforms on which browsers are built are largely immutable, any new browser release must innovate in other core areas that matter — aesthetics, usability, and customizability.
