You deserve to win the Golden Ball

Legendary French forward Thierry Henry has called his compatriot Kylian Mbappé a worthy winner of the 2026 Ballon d'Or.

The former Arsenal and France national team star addressed the Real Madrid forward, wishing him success ahead of the ceremony for the prestigious individual award.

“My friend, I wish you all the best in the race for the Ballon d’Or. All the best! You deserve it, Kylian!” said Henry.

Earlier, France Football announced the 30 nominees for the Ballon d’Or, which, in addition to Mbappé, included players such as Jude Bellingham, Erling Haaland, Lionel Messi, Rodri, and Vinícius Júnior. The winner will be announced on October 26 in London.

Henry was nominated for the Ballon d’Or nine times, but he never won the prestigious award. Mbappé has eight nominations. Kylian’s best finish in the race for the award was third place in 2023.
