Anthony Joshua made an unexpected decision regarding the Ukrainian

Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is not training with Oleksandr Usyk’s team. Recently, the British boxer has been spotted with his former trainers, Derrick James and Ben Davidson.

“Over the past five weeks, Joshua has been seen with his former trainer Derrick James, as well as at Ben Davidson’s gym. I have nothing against Usyk’s team and have great respect for them, but it’s hard to believe that all these meetings are just a coincidence. Maybe that’s exactly what it is,” the source notes.

Under Davison, the British boxer previously scored victories over Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou. However, it was under this coach’s guidance that Joshua suffered a tough early defeat at the hands of Daniel Dubois.

After that, Joshua began working with Yegor Golub, a member of Usyk’s team, who led him to early-round victories over Jake Paul and Christian Prenga.
