How Maguchikh cleared 1.99 m and became the undisputed world champion

The first-ever World Athletics Championships kicked off in Budapest.
Ukrainian Yaroslava Mahuchikh won the high jump competition, clearing 1.99 m on her second attempt.
After her victory, the Ukrainian athlete requested a height of 2.04 m—the world’s best result of the season—but was unable to clear it.
Second place went to Nicola Olislagers of Australia (1.95 m), while third place was shared by Angelina Topić of Serbia and Eleanor Patterson of Australia (1.91 m).
Iryna Herashchenko finished in 5th place with a jump of 1.91 m, while Yulia Levchenko tied for 6th place with a jump of 1.86 m.
The World Championships are taking place September 11–13 in Budapest.
