The first-ever undisputed world champions. The U.S. won the 4x100 relay

On Friday, September 11, as part of the 2026 World Absolute Championships, the mixed 4x100-meter relay competition took place.

The U.S. team, represented by Ronnie Baker, Anavya Battle, Courtney Lindsay, and Kayla White, became the first-ever winner of the Ultimate Championships.

The Americans completed the race in 39.64 seconds, just 0.02 seconds shy of the world record set by the Jamaican team in May of this year.

This time, the Jamaicans took second place. The quartet consisted of Akim Blake, Tina Clayton, Kadrian Goldson, and Joniel Smith, who finished second with a time of 39.72 seconds.

However, they—like the other seven teams—will receive only commemorative bracelets, since at the Ultimate Championships, only the winners receive awards, specifically the trophy.
