Sunderland, with a Ukrainian player, knocked a Premier League team out of the Cup

On September 8, the English League Cup Round of 32 kicked off alongside the Champions League matches.

At this stage, two Premier League teams faced off: Sunderland versus Hull City.

The home team, Sunderland, secured the victory at the Stadium of Light.

The only goal of the game was scored by Shemsdin Talbi in the 71st minute.

The match was a milestone for Ukrainian winger Timur Tutierov.

The Ukrainian soccer player made his debut for Sunderland and played 11 minutes of the match.
